Farewell Class

Today was final exam for kindergarten. It seemed difficult to teach them how to choose one correct answer from for options. So, I prepared well for them.
29 May 2013, the final exam day. I opened the class by singing together. They looked really happy. Then, I drew four columns in the blackboard. Then every column had one picture. So, four columns had different picture. First, I asked them which one of the mountain picture. Then, I made one student to choose one correct column by making cross line. It was my method to teach them how to answer in the final exam. There were 20 questions. Every question had variety answer. Sometimes they had to cross, draw, color or circle it. At the end of class every student got a favorite hero picture.
I think I will miss them so much. They will have 2 weeks for holiday. After it, they will enter elementary school. I hope they will remember me because I’ll never forget them.

Beautiful day
Every Friday, I teach in the kindergarten, which is near from my campus. I have taught in kindergarten for more than six months. I love children. I love them so much. I teach 30- 40 minutes every session. Here’s good rule to remember about children: If you smile, they will smile.
Usually.
Children always make me happy. I think most of you don’t believe it. Even sometimes they are really naughty. Somehow they are children who have many interesting characteristics.  I am really amazed with their spirit. They never give up. I think most of adult should learn from them.
Today, I opened the class by singing together. It was really happy time. Then, I introduced them a new vocabulary. It was “station”. I used to introduce new vocabulary by drawing. I drew it in the blackboard. But, since I realized that I lack of drawing skill, I decided to draw the simple things. It happened when I drew cat and sheep, one of my student couldn’t make any differentiation between them. He unaware of how much embarrassment  it was for me. But, I always learn from failure.
Back to the class, I asked them whether they had ever gone to station or not. Fardian, the fattest boy, stood up and told me that he had gone to Ambarawa station with Spongebob and Patrick. It made all of students making their imagination story with their favorite cartoons. I let them to create their own stories. At the end of class, I gave them prizes for their amazing participation. Then, we sang goodbye song and closed the meeting.
